Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner-BC Adriana Suzanne Boulton, PMHNP-BC
Specialties: Grief, Anxiety, Depression, ADD/ADHD, Adjustment Disorder,

Introduction

I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, New Mexico native and graduate of the University of New Mexico. I provide evidence-based psychotherapy, medication management, and tools for patients to improve quality of life. I specialize in psychiatric diagnosis, treatment, psychotherapy, and medication management. I am passionate and understand mental illness, including environmental, social and genetic factors. Psychiatric Assessment: A comprehensive assessment will be performed during our initial visit. We will look at specific symptoms that you are experiencing, your medical history, psychosocial history and treatment goals. After the initial assessment, we will create a mutually agreed upon treatment plan, which may include, medication recommendations, lifestyle changes and therapeutic interventions. Medication management: As part of your mental health, psychotropic medications may be prescribed. Whether you are currently on psychiatric medication or want to taper off, we can work together to create a medication plan that helps to improve your overall quality of life. Prior to becoming a practitioner, I worked in an outpatient setting with primary psychotic disorders, psychiatric emergency services, outpatient psychiatric care and specialty services including transcranial magnetic stimulation as well as electroconvulsive therapy. Other rotations have included children's psychiatric services and consult liaison services. I thrive on providing a safe space and want to take this opportunity to get to know you and what your personal journey and goals are.
