Adam Sandlin holds a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of North Texas. He has been working with children, teens, adults, couples, and families on an individual and group basis for over a decade in community and private settings as well as through discipleship, counseling, youth, recovery, and teaching ministries in the local church. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) in the State of Texas, and a Certified Biblical Counselor through the Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC). Adam also specializes in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). He has completed post-graduate training from the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) of the International OCD Foundation, and from the Psychiatry Academy at Massachusetts General Hospital. Issues that Adam works with regularly include OCD, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, spiritual crises, fear of man (codependency/people-pleasing/social anxiety), and pornography addiction. Adam believes that God’s sufficient Word and power have “granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence” (2 Peter 1:3). Through the counseling relationship, God has given a means of grace and wisdom for the transforming of His people into His image “from one degree of glory to another” (2 Corinthians 3:18), and for the common good of all (Galatians 6:10). Adam serves as an elder at North Point Church in Denton where he and his wife worship as members and attend with their two children.
