I approach therapy with a focus on developing a healing relationship through which various issues of mood, identity, and personal functioning are explored. I often work with people to learn healthy coping skills, heal from wounds of the past, and strengthen inner resources. I am passionate about working with people who often face marginalization from society and integrate an understanding of cultural and individual values in our work. I am trained in different treatment modalities and most often use eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, psychodynamic approaches, mindfulness, trauma therapy, clinical hypnosis, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I further specialize in the treatment of complex trauma and dissociation. I focus on treating every person with dignity and engaging wholeheartedly to listen to their story and help them navigate through life’s transitions.
