My approach is to 1) accept every client with unconditional positive regard as a unique person with inherent value, 2) attend to a client's well being on their own terms, focusing on their priorities and goals, and 3) utilize only highly evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as DBT and REBT, that integrate cognitive behavioral techniques with our emotions and beliefs to holistically address issues such as managing anxiety and anger, healing burnout and trauma, and developing better coping skills. I also have experience integrating a client's faith and spirituality into counseling, at their request, as spirituality can be an important component of well being, healing, and positive mental health.
