Introduction

We all experience difficulty in life, but it takes courage to seek help. Let me assure you, you are not alone and you are in the right place. It is my belief that all people have the capacity for change and success, and it is a therapist’s job to empower clients to see these traits in themselves. Being a part of a person’s growth and development is an honor that I take very seriously, and am humbled by every day. I am a behavioral health therapist based in Sitka, Alaska. I received my Master’s in Social Work from Simmons University, and am independently licensed by the State of Alaska Board of Social Work Examiners. I have worked in various settings over the years, including psychiatric emergency services, substance use treatment, high schools, and community outpatient services. I am a generalist by training, and have specialized experience supporting clients through challenging life transitions, processing and healing from trauma, and serving LGBTQIA2+ populations. I am immensely grateful to live and work on Lingít aaní, while serving Alaskans around the state. I look forward to meeting you wherever you are on your journey, and walking the winding path of healing together.
