Okay, so all about me. I've had quite a range of experiences. In my past, I have worked in various industries including food, retail, production, labor, and computers before transitioning to mental health and helping others. Since then, I've gained experience in various environments, including providing services in in-home care, homeless outreach, harm reduction, and working with individuals in child welfare, community, and in-school mental health settings. While it wasn’t something I would have expected at my start, I've found a knack working with teens and young adults. I'm committed to providing services to help individuals struggling with trauma, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, anger, frustration, communication, and ADHD. I aim for a casual and comfortable experience, but will challenge behaviors and thinking when needed, which can be uncomfortable to reflect on. Together, we'll navigate through these challenges! Drawing on my varied background, I’m able to work with most populations, including LGBTQI+, polyamory, alternative lifestyles, and other culturally diverse. I prioritize a client-centered, solution-focused approach, integrating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I believe in prioritizing client-identified concerns. Nobody understands how you feel and what you need better than yourself. This belief guides my client-centered approach, where I value and honor each person's unique experiences and perspectives. By focusing on the goals and needs that are most important to my clients, I strive to empower them to take an active role in working to build resilience and confidence in their ability to navigate life's obstacles to get where they want to be.
