I serve clients in Washington, DC from varying backgrounds with a wide array of challenges ranging from those feeling stressed and confused, struggling with grief and loss, dealing with feelings of low self-esteem and hopelessness, and those feeling stuck or stagnant and struggling to adjust to change. I have also served families, at-risk youth, the LGBTQ community, individuals with substance abuse disorders, and others with a variety of mental health challenges. My therapeutic focus is depression, anxiety, self-acceptance/esteem, interpersonal relationships, life transitions, family conflict, trauma and grief. I take a holistic approach to mental health, giving clients the ability to experience, repair, and strengthen their mind-body-spirit connection. I enjoy helping clients unlock the best versions of themselves, reframe their stories and evaluate the impact their current beliefs have on their self-acceptance and creating the life they want. I see myself as a helper. Clients hold within them the keys to solving each and every challenge or barrier they face. My job is simply to help them uncover those keys and empower them to tap into their pre-existing coping strategies and internal resources.
