I believe in our ability to change, grow, and live truly inspired lives. It can be so hard to find yourself feeling overwhelmed, anxious, worried, and unable to manage your emotions. You start to feel helpless and out of control. Or maybe, you are highly critical of yourself…and sometimes others. You constantly compare yourself to others and usually fall short. You just can’t seem to quiet that negative voice in your head. It seems to have taken over and it’s causing problems in many areas of your life. At its worst, it even affects your relationships with those you hold most dear. In therapy with me, you will gain new perspectives about your challenges and start to understand the powerful impact of your thoughts and behaviors on your emotions. You will acquire the tools needed to challenge negative, harmful thinking and make important behavioral changes, so that you feel better AND function better. I am a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (CBT)/Schema Therapist specializing in treating young adults/college students and women. I also specialize in serving people from multicultural backgrounds and/or oppressed groups. I am especially interested in helping people who struggle with anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem concerns, prenatal/postpartum issues and significant life transitions.
