As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), I use a trauma-informed care approach to work with individuals, couples, and families in community and private practice settings. A few challenges that I have supported my clients with navigating include: anxiety, depression, parenting concerns, chronic conflict, communication issues, emotional disconnect, healing from the damaging effects of familial and societal messaging, and negotiating more satisfying relationships. I am passionate about empowering individuals whose needs are often overshadowed or misunderstood due to historical and ongoing sociocultural issues. In particular, I enjoy working with fathers and the diaspora community as they navigate the intersection of culture, identity, and relationships. I also provide consultations for recent graduates and healers dealing with burnout and relational difficulties. I have been described as a collaborative, warm, and non-judgmental therapist. I utilize the unique strengths clients bring to therapy to help elicit a natural and lasting positive change. I approach therapy as my authentic and genuine self, helping my clients feel comfortable bringing forth their truth. Whether you’re returning to therapy or starting for the first time, we’ll cultivate a safe, comfortable environment together, while I walk alongside you on your journey to a healthier and more joyful life. I offer a free Get-Acquainted phone consultation to determine if I am a good fit for your needs.
