I am a bilingual-bicultural licensed psychotherapist currently practicing out of San Pedro, California. I developed a career in psychology because I was interested in how people function, what motivates us and how we make our life choices that lead us to improve our quality of life. As a licensed Psychotherapist I am committed to building a strong rapport with my clients and help them explore where they are in life and assist them in making the best choices, they can make for themselves. I strongly believe that a lot can change with positive communication. I have worked with individuals in abusive relationships, traumatic experiences, and adult individuals trying to manage life. In the past I have worked with children and families with behavioral and parenting issues. In 2016 I finished a doctoral program that focused on community mental health. Currently, I also work for a community mental health agency in Los Angeles County overseeing the mental health quality assurance department. I am also certified in treatment models like Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TFCBT) and Managing and Adapting Practices (MAP). However, I prefer to work eclectically using psychodynamic interventions and components of various trauma informed models.
