As an individual, Emma believes that humans are ever evolving, and that as we grow, we become our true self through discovering our identity while on the unpredictable journey we call life. Our minds and our bodies are intertwined to create a unique holistic being. As a therapist, Emma uses an eclectic theoretical orientation that often incorporates mindfulness-based meditation, nature, and art making into sessions. Meditative processes can be replicated through art making as a tool to connect us to our rhythmic system of movements within our mind and body. Creative expression is an avenue to self-identity that Emma believes to be significant in exploring one’s growth and development. Using artistic processes as a way to visualize passions and goals can help to transform aspirations into action. Art making can be emotionally explorative as well as a therapeutic regulation tool for emotions, both of which will serve you best during your work together. Emma welcomes and encourages both methods of creation to weave together the pieces of your ever evolving self.
