At times, even with all best intentions, life surprises us. When obstacles are presented, we push through as circumstances and resources allow. Yet, we think and feel that we are alone. We wonder and question “will it get better?” Realistically, it is never easy. It can become complicated, stressful, overwhelming, but also…. empowering? With the unprecedented pandemic, we are all recovering from something. I strive to provide therapy that is core to one’s true experience. Listening and validating strengths fosters use of a holistic/collaborative approach to address presenting needs and help each client towards set goals for improvement and overall well-being. Striving to understand and facilitate behavioral change for effective coping and stability is a solid start to learning and healing: body, mind and soul. I have over five years' experience providing psychotherapeutic services to culturally diverse and bilingual populations. I am fluent in Spanish. Know some Italian and Tagalog. I am focus on building strong engagement with clients by promoting a sense of self, efficacy, and improved level of social integration. I am s passionate in providing quality client care via cultural awareness, strength-based perspective and utilizing varying evidenced-based modalities; CBT, DBT, REBT, Psychodynamic approaches for processing traumatic experiences, Mindfulness Stress Reduction, and Motivational Interviewing. Prior to Behavioral Health, Ines has dedicated over a decade of macro-based work via community organizing inclusive of providing advocacy, mobilizing, policy monitoring, legislative visits, and facilitating LGBTQIA support groups.
