Josh works with individuals, couples, and families; and has experience treating depression, anxiety, relationship problems, and finding relief from overwhelming psychological trauma. Josh uses and integrative approach of psychotherapy attuned to the mind body connection. Josh is an EMDR practitioner. When Josh discovered he was adopted 15 years ago he identified the need for more trauma focused therapists who understand the lifelong traumatic impact of abandonment and subsequently transitioned into the healing arts. Josh’s focus is on healing life traumas, building strong and safe attachments and helping clients learn to live an intentional life. Trauma is perhaps the most missed psychological issue amongst psychotherapists. Often disguised as depression, anxiety, isolation or acting out behavior, trauma is usually overlooked and not dealt with directly. Instead, the symptoms are treated and not their cause. I work to resolve and heal from impactful early and recent traumatic experiences. Finding the core issue and healing from their often unconscious impact is of the utmost importance in my work.
