Counseling has been my passion and calling for about 10 years. I received my Master's degree in Professional Counseling in 2011 and my counseling license for Virginia in 2014. I have been married for 16 years and have 2 children (both with various special needs) and a dog. As a therapist, I meet clients where they are and help to identify the source of their current symptoms. My goal is to be a support and to help you develop skills and different ways of thinking. I believe that you can overcome whatever struggle you are dealing with if you have the desire to change and the right skills and resources. I started Candlelight Counseling in 2019, while dealing with a chronic medical condition. Little did I know that our world would be hit with a pandemic the next year. Opening this practice has given me the flexibility that I needed to support my clients, while also supporting my own health and the health of my children.
