Introduction

Ase Healing Center (Delores Place) is a virtual center focused upon working with teenagers, young people, and adults to help manage trauma. Dr. La'Courtney D. Setzer founded this center in June 2016 in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Dr. Setzer is a thirteen year licensed mental health professional. Our Healing Counseling Team has expanded this virtual center to work with you. We have worked with individuals of all ages, couples, and families who have survived traumatic experiences, including assault, substance use, and abuse. Our namesake is our honored ancestor, Beatrice Delores Culbreath, maternal grandmother of our founder. Mrs. Culbreath was a trailblazing professional in her community. She practiced unconditional love, displayed timely wisdom, and was a role model to many individuals in Hickory, NC. Mrs. Culbreath's legacy as a trailblazer inspired our founder to continue this love towards others. The purpose of this center is to increase this legacy to others throughout the country. You’ve spent countless days, months, and years striving to get it right. To be seen and live beyond the constant and heavy feelings of hopelessness, fear, anger, and inadequacy. To move beyond shame and guilt. You may regret that you are here today—at this point in your life. But we want to assure you that reaching out for help today is a brave step. One that will lead to a new path in learning skills to help you live abundantly. And we want to assist you on this path. In our work together, we will assist you in learning the emotional skills necessary to relieve difficult emotions and conditions such as panic, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. We will empower you to identify and challenge negative behaviors and patterns that have prevented you from achieving your goals and living a satisfying life beyond the trauma you survived. Our work will result in increased confidence, improved self-worth and self-awareness, and healthy boundaries with self and others. In couples/family counseling, we will work with you and your partner to build a fulfilling union and overcome your relationship challenges. Common issues we treat in working with couples include infidelity, distrust, lack of intimacy, and poor communication. Counseling is a partnership where teamwork is required, and our team is passionate about working with you to improve your life and on your terms. We have experienced counseling interns committed to working with our young people to improve their lives. We accept private pay. However, We provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance agencies for the reimbursement process. The lowest cost for our couples/family counseling is $55 with provisionally licensed clinicians. The lowest cost for our couples/family counseling with our Licensed Independent Mental Health Professionals are $90. However, our virtual community group sessions are $30 per session. We plan to expand our center to accept insurance contracting in states in Early December 2023. Janvier G. Bio- LCSW in NC- Manic Warrior Oh, the challenges that life brings can be very overwhelming. Janvier Gholson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Her passion is providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents and adults. She has experience working with clients that have anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, and adjustment disorder. She understand that therapy is not a one size fit all and she assist clients in making them feel comfortable with establishing a healthy therapeutic relationship with her. She desires for her clients to feel heard, acknowledged and validated. Wherever you may be, She hope she can help you reach your full potential in life. Sarah P. Bio- Nursing Advocate & Substance Use Warrior- Licensed in NC/VA Sarah is currently a Supervisee in Social Work, in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the State of North Carolina. She graduated from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NCA&TSU) and The University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s (UNCG) joint Master of Social Work Program in May of 2022. She is trained in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) modalities and regularly incorporates evidence-based interventions in her clinical work and experiential training that serves rural areas and underserved populations. Throughout her coursework, She was able to form a comprehensive understanding of various theories and interdisciplinary studies related to the mental health field, which supports her in empowering clients to take control of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Clients are individually assessed, and treatment planning analysis provides measurable, person-centered goals to decrease negative symptoms and reflect comprehensive patient care.   Her journey began when she noticed a desire to apply an increased level of skill in her Nursing career.  She enjoyed helping others and this urge made her realize her growing need to help others using a more holistic approach, embodying mental and spiritual approaches along with the physical needs of her patients, while focusing on the measurable gaps in the delivery of behavioral health.  She noted the high volume of undiagnosed behavioral health disorders in her experiential training and has been passionately drawn to increase access to health care for underserved and excess-vulnerable populations, especially those in high-need and high-demand areas. This realization encouraged and led her to pursue her degree in Social Work with a focus on substance abuse disorders. Crystal G- Grief Warrior- LCSW Licensed in DC and HI You have been wanting to start a journey of change? You have been wanting to find someone who can connect with you and walk with you on that journey. You desire a judgment free and safe place to be vulnerable, understood and seen. "I want to be the clinician who sees YOU" I want to take your hand and walk with you through your journey of change mind, body and spirit. When you book with me you can expect to have a down to earth and professional clinician who cares about those she serves. You can expect to feel safe, heard and gain the tools you need to make the changes in your own life. Expect to talk about what brought you to see me, why your ready to start the counseling journey and how we can work together to start your journey and see real changes in your life. I am a first generation college student who went into the social work field because I wanted to help the vulnerable population, young men and women, those grieving and/or suffering from anxiety, grief or trauma. I graduated from the University Of Texas-Arlington with my Masters in Social Work. I later went on to attain my license and became a Licensed Master Social Worker. I then went on to attain my hours and passed the exam to become a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I have a servant heart, a passion to serve and a love for people. I at one time felt unheard, unfocused and lost in my own life. I knew without being a licensed clinician, I could not fulfill my dream of serving those that some people may count out and may dismiss as a statistic with nothing to add to the world in which we live in. I want to give people the power to change their own lives all while supporting them throughout the process. If I sounds like a good fit for you, lets start the journey of change and heal the roots so the tree (YOU) can stand strong!
