Courtney has experience working with children (ages 10 and up), adolescents, and adults. She believes that each therapy experience is unique–whether you are just beginning this journey or already have experience with the process. She believes in the power of client feedback and collaborates with clients to structure sessions around what approaches and themes are most important to them. Her areas of focus include anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral concerns, interpersonal trauma, and life transitions. She also has experience working with families and couples to navigate a myriad of concerns. Courtney graduated with her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. She utilizes several approaches in her work with clients, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, meaning-making approaches and mindfulness techniques. She utilizes her knowledge of various psychotherapy approaches and human development to help clients better understand how they relate to themselves and others. Courtney helps clients leverage their existing strengths and values to challenge unhelpful thinking, while at the same time, developing self-confidence and maximizing their potential.
